“Ex” Burns Belongings In Back Yard

Law enforcement officials were called to intervene late last week when a woman reported her ex-boyfriend began burning his belongings in her back yard.

The Buffalo Road resident reported she had opted not to answer the door when her ex-boyfriend stopped by. When she did not answer, she told officers that he raised the kitchen window. She said that she confronted him there, handing him his belongings through the window and asking him to leave.

Shortly afterwards, the resident said she looked out to find that he had used his own belongings to ignite the backyard fire.

The victim said she went out and, again, told him to leave. She said he refused to do so until such time that she placed the call to summon police assistance. She said that he then left, but that she had no idea where he went.

Deputies extinguished the fire and advised the victim of the process to obtain an order for protection.
